SCRIPTURAL TEXT: LUKE 19:8
And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I
give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I
restore him fourfold.

God’s love melts even the hardest heart. Not only does an encounter with Jesus melt the heart, it also convicts. No one who claims to have seen the hand of God in his life continues in sin or uncleanness. The story of Zacchaeus emphasizes this great truth.
Many would have been surprised by Zacchaeus’ instant repentance since Jesus preached no lengthy sermon when Zacchaeus hosted him. We can clearly see that in gratitude to Jesus’s love, Zacchaeus made a commitment to righteous living. In this light, as we remember God’s love towards everyone, it should drive us to repentance. Glory to God! More so, for those who are already saved, you can show gratitude by not returning to those things you were saved from.
Are you grateful for the mercy of God upon your life? Resolve to keep your sanctification, and daily consecrate yourself to the living God. Also, take out time today to share the good of salvation and its benefits to a lost soul today as a sign that you are grateful to God for the opportunity to be saved. Thank you lord

Prayer for leaders/nation: We pray for the President of this nation that you would grant him grace to know how to unify the country.
