“And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.”
As believers, our mode of
operation differs from the world and so is our experience. Where others suffer
lack and wallow in poverty, we ought to stand out as examples of those who God
has helped, so that we can sufficiently help those in needs and give them the
Good News. Glory to God!
Our scriptural text today shows
us Jesus giving God thanks when He was faced with a peculiar challenge of
feeding over five thousand people when all He had was five loaves and two
fishes. Obviously, what He had was nowhere close to what He needed at that
point, but He was not perturbed because he knew what to do to bring about
multiplication. He engaged the principle of thanksgiving and got a supernatural
So also, when you are faced with
scarcity or any form of lack, remember that thanksgiving can pull the trigger
and cause heaven to respond. So learn to give God thanks for the little you
have instead of complaining. Engage in heartfelt gratitude to God and you will
enjoy supernatural supply too. Halleluyah!
