CAST OFF DARKNESS – Daily Devotional

SCRIPTURAL-TEXT:
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Romans 13:12

Everyone who has received Jesus Christ has received a new life. Christ called us out of the darkness and gave us the ability to walk in His marvelous light. Through this, we have
received the power to overcome the old things held us captive in the dark.

Our Scriptural text today shows us that the work of Christ was only the beginning of everything, Which means you have the responsibility of casting off the works of darkness.

Have you been saved? It is time to look within and around you identify any remnant of darkness that still hinders you;- it’s time to cast if off. You have received power and you have the light of God in you. As you consistently study the Word, fellowship with the Holy Spirit by praying in tongues always and take deliberate strategies against the works of darkness, you are destined to come overcome, for the Greater One lives in you. Glory to God!

ACTION POINTS To Activate The Word In You Today, Carry Out All The Action Points (A – I) Sequentially:

A. [SAY AMEN TO THIS] WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY:
1 Receive strength to cast of darkness in your life in Jesus name

2.As you step out today, may evil not come near your dwelling place

B.PLAN TO DO THIS TODAY IN RESPONSE TO TODAY’S TEACHING:
Give attention to studying the word and fellowshipping with the spirit so that every darkness can be exposed and expelled.

C. SPEAK THESE WORDS OVER YOUR LIFE CONTINUOUSLY TODAY:
I decree and I declare that I am a new creature

D.STARTUP PRAYER:
Dear Father, I yield myself to your spirit, purge me of every uncleanliness in Jesus name

E. REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the privilege of a new day. I am especially grateful for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus on the cross for my redemption, and the privilege to walk with You day by day. I rededicate my life to you today, and declare my submission to Your Word and Your Will. I hereby cast off the works of darkness, and I put on the armour of Light, as I consecrate my body, soul and spirit to you today. Let me life bring you glory now and always. Amen.

G. PRAY FOR A COUNTRY IN NEED TODAY: AUSTRIA
Austria has 15% of its population unreached with the Gospel. Young people are more open to the Gospel than the previous generation in Austria, but churches are poorly equipped for effective youth ministry.
PRAY FOR AUSTRIA We are praying for the Christians in Austria that they will not be ashamed to publicize their faith to others.

H.PRAY FOR JERUSALEM
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6)
