COMMUNION ENFORCES RESTORATION – Daily Devotional

We are in the last days and the bible declares that darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness will be upon the people; however upon you, it is written that the glory of God will arise. This is because of the covenant you have with the God of the universe. This covenant was initiated and sealed by the precious blood of Jesus which was offered without spot, on your behalf. The communion typifies this covenant.

It has been erroneously taught that communion is a mere religious rite among believers, who must be in a state of grace to partake of it. This however is not so from the scriptures. Just like baptism, the communion is an outward declaration of a spiritual covenant initiated by God through the blood of Jesus, with the believer. It is a prophetic act that announces and enforces the covenant of God upon a believer. The Apostle Paul faulted the Corinthian church for their wrong use of communion and revealed that it was the reason for the sickness, weakness, and deaths among them. This tells us so much of what would have been the case if they used the communion correctly and with understanding! How powerful!

You can enjoy restoration today, by enforcing what Jesus did on the cross by His death, burial and resurrection. He has paid it all already and his body and blood are the proof that you have. This covenant is typified in the communion; little wonder Jesus instructed that as often as we partake of the communion, we show forth, announce and enforce the benefits of His death. Glory to God.
