CONSISTENCY GENERATES MOMENTUM – Daily Devotional

One of the greatest secrets of success is consistency. Consistency refers to the act of doing a particular thing over and over again without quitting.
Engaging therefore in the right spiritual or physical activities, and persisting in them will bring success.
When a thing is done over and over again, at a particular pace and within a specified period of time, momentum is generated. Momentum, is that moving force that overcomes resistance. Little wonder, Jesus simply said, “Lazarus, come forth” and the dead man came back to life. In the preceding scriptures, we see that Jesus had severally laid up prayers before this occasion and then in verse 41, He thanked the Father for hearing Him. The same principle applies to the study of God’s Word. The more we look into the Scriptures, the more momentum we gain to be transformed into the image prescribed by the Word of God. This principle applies to every other area of our lives.

So, make a resolve to function precept upon precept and line upon line in your affairs. Hence, your life must be prayer upon prayer, worship upon worship, study of God’s Word upon study of God’s Word, hard work upon hard work, giving upon giving, and so on. This is consistency. By so doing, you will reap the fruits of your labour in due season if you do not get tired or give up (Galatians 6:9). Glory to God!
