SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 1 Samuel 17: 48-49
And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David
hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took
thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his
forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth
The extent of your confidence in God and in His power is
dependent on your level of preparation in the secret place. The Scriptures affirm that, fainting in the day of adversity reveals your lack of preparation and lack of strength.
As seen in our opening scripture, David was prepared to go after Goliath without a
second thought or any iota of fear. There was no delay in David’s attack, he was prepared.
This was because, David was a man of the secret place.
Preparation creates an unusual confidence in you, which activates a massive momentum
against the enemy. When the enemy shows up to deflate your momentum or kill your
dreams, you must stand prepared, unwavering and ready to overcome. Only by this, can you
have the victory. Fear is the biggest thief of your victory.
By consistently preparing yourself in the secret place therefore, you activate the lion’s heart which roars against the enemy and puts a silence to the adversaries of your dream! Glory to God!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, I receive grace to give attention to the word like never before in Jesus name.

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
