Lupita Nyong’o said that she taught David Oyelowo everything he understands about Instagram
No one would believe David Oyelowo had never been on the popular photo sharing App, Instagram. He just got introduced to Instagram and thanks to Lupita Nyong’o. Now his fans can get a peek into the life of the Hollywood celebrity via the gram.
His new handle is @davidoyelowo and according to Lupita, she is the one that taught him everything he understands about Instagram so let’s hope he has learnt enough from her.
Although he joined the photo-sharing platform just yesterday, the ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ actor already has 14,000 plus followers. And it is certain a lot of his fans will swarm to his page in the coming days to follow their favourite star.
David Oyelowo and Lupita Nyong’o starred in the 2016 movie “Queen of Katwe” where he acted as a Chess coach to Phiona Mutesi and other children in the slum of Katwe. Phiona who was raised and bred in the slum eventually became the Women’s Chess Champion in Uganda. It was actually a true life story of Phiona Mutesi.
David Oyelowo is a classically trained stage actor who has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after talents. He graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and received the “Scholarship for Excellence” from Nicholas Hytner in 1998.
David starred in his first Hollywood production with 2 features. First starring in Kenneth Branagh’s adaptation As You Like It (2006), in which he played Orlando opposite Bryce Dallas Howard, which aired in August 2006.
In October of the same year, he was again seen on HBO as the lead in the miniseries Five Days (2007), for which he won the Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Made for Television for his performance.
David Oyelowo was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in the 2016 New Years Honours for his services to drama.
