SCRIPTURAL TEXT: Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof

Jesus in his wisdom opened our eyes to see what the cause of defilement is as against what was preached by the Pharisees. It is what comes out of your mouth that defiles your life; therefore, what can defile your life can also defile your bank account, marriage, business, house, etc., (Proverbs 18:21, 1Pet 2:21). Jesus said we will give account of every idle word we speak, this is serious.
In the scriptures, we see how the man who can dominate his tongue was described as a perfect man (James 3:2). So, learn to say only what is right. Let no deceit be in your mouth. When you speak wrong things about yourself with your mouth, you are also deceiving yourself and you are not in alignment with the word of God because, you are what God says you are.
Let us begin to exercise dominion over the gate of our tongue. Practice speaking only that which edifies you and those who hear you, bringing glory to God. Hallelujah!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, I ask for grace to speak words consistent with your word in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR KOSOVO
30% are unreached with the Gospel. Ministries in Kosovo find work difficult, but fruitful. Work with children and young adults sees a lot of response. Discipleship and leadership development are crucial works in Kosovo and more male workers are needed.
Y: We are praying for the outpour of God’s Spirit upon the unreached places in Kosovo.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR NATIONS/LEADERS
Dear Lord, grant the leaders wisdom to allocate the resources of the nation wisely.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray that the message of the cross, the message of redemption in Christ will be the focus of the church in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that your word will grow mightily and prevail, leading to a mass harvest of souls and revival in our city and environs.
