SCRIPTURAL TEXT: PSALMS 118:22-23
The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. [23] This is the Lord’s doing;
it is marvellous in our eyes.

A shift refers to a change in place, position, or direction; hence, there
could be a shift in any direction. But, an upward shift specifically
refers to the movement of an individual, social group, or class to a
position of increased status or power.
Our opening scripture exemplifies this. There was an upward shift from the place of rejection to a place
of acceptance and high relevance, where the rejected stone did not just shift into acceptance, but shifted
into becoming the most important stone; the bedrock upon which all other stones stood. This was the
Lord’s doing, which became a marvel in the eyes of men up until this day. He was the one who also
turned around the captivity of Zion and it seemed like a dream (Psalms 126:1). He apparently has a
specialty in doing marvels.
So, it does not matter what position you are on the compass of life. God is well able to give you an
upward thrust into your breakthrough, thereby increasing your social status/power, if only you believe.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, cause me to experience an upward shift in my life
in Jesus name.

Background: The Macedonian Orthodox Church claims to represent almost two-thirds of the population, but more
than 1,000 churches remain largely empty, and most Macedonians are secular and unreligious in practice. The
Orthodox Church sometimes opposes new religious expressions such as evangelicalism, but dialogue is increasing.
We are praying for the believers in Macedonia for strength in their inner man to serve the Lord.
Father, we pray that you will bless our leaders with good health and with safety.

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be
established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

We pray against every plan of the devil to frustrate the plans for
unity in the church.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that your word will continue to grow mightily and prevail, leading to a mass harvest of souls and revival in our nations and environs.
