SCRIPTURAL TEXT: GENESIS 37:8
i make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and steadfast forever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

Daniel was a Hebrew boy in a strange land who proposed in his heart not to defile himself with the culture of the strange land. The King found him and the other Hebrew boys ten times wiser and more insightful than his magicians and astrologers (Daniel 1:20). Daniel chose rightly, by putting God first (Proverbs 9:10) and thus, increasing in wisdom and in favor with the king.
As he grew into a man, he was distinguished above all, because an excellent spirit was found in him. This increased his sphere of influence. When you stand with God, He also will stand with you. Daniel successfully passed all his tests, proving without a doubt that he could handle authority. The higher his influence grew, the more he directed the people to the one true God. Our opening text shows us the result of Daniel’s proposal- He gained dominion and brought Glory to God – to the point that even the King issued a decree that everyone under his rule should worship and serve only the God of Daniel.
Are you shining the light where you are? How many people have you influenced to Christ? Your success ought to draw people to God. The more successful you are, the more your influence and the more souls can see the light of the glorious gospel and be saved. Therefore, today, propose in your heart, not to defile yourself, but rather, draw many to God with your influence and you will be amazed at how God will ensure your influence and dominion keep increasing.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, I ask for grace to use all you have blessed me with to draw others to you in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6).

Father, give them leaders that will make laws to protect the freedom of the people so that they can live peaceful, quiet lives in godliness and dignity
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Dear Father, give us the spirit of humility and patience that we may show tolerance for one another in love.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that your light will cover our nations, that in all places men, women and youth will begin to hunger for you.
