MAXIMIZE YOUR TIME – Daily Devotional

It is well said that no man learns how to shoot on the battlefield. So, anyone who
must go to battle, must be well prepared before he gets into the battlefield. Time is
a gift from God to enable us prepare and make wise investments, because, at the
expiration of time, every man will reap the dividends of his investment. So, while the
sluggard would reap nothing, the soul of the diligent will be made fat (Proverbs 13:4).

Hence, the importance of what we do with our time cannot be overemphasized.
Jesus recognized this in our opening Scripture and emphasized on the need to maximize His time while He still had the opportunity to do so, because a time would come when He would not be able to do those works anymore. Likewise, to every man there would be a night season (a day of adversity), but what happens to you on that day, will be based on the measure of strength that you have acquired. This is why the Scripture says that if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small (Proverbs 10:24). We must become diligent therefore, about maximizing our time by investing into spiritual and physical virtues early enough in preparation for the night seasons.
