SCRIPTURAL TEXT: T: Proverbs 13:4
The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
As believers, God has shown us through His word that He wants us blessed and increasing from glory to glory. Stagnation or backwardness isn’t His will for our lives, rather, His pleasure is fruitfulness and multiplication. The Word of God unveils to us the keys that we must engage to enjoy this.
Our scriptural text clearly shows us that slothfulness leads to having nothing, however, the soul
of the diligent will be prosperous. It shows us further in Proverbs 12:24 that the hand of the diligent will bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. We see then that it takes diligence to multiply your possession.
Diligence is counting the cost and doing all that ought to be done in the achievement of a vision. It is crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s where the accomplishment of a task is concerned.
Laziness and slothfulness is never God’s will for a believer. This is because by their operation, a believer will continually be under the tribute of lack and stagnation. Today therefore, arm your mind and choose to give all that it takes to succeed in any given task, because it is the soul of the diligent that experiences fatness. Glory to God!
Do you desire to experience multiplication in any area of your life? If yes, it must then be your addictive practice to meditate and fill your mind with the life-giving Word of God. Your focus must be taken off from your situation, and set on beholding the Word. As you behold, you would be changed! Halleluyah!!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, help me to be diligent in all that I do in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH
There are massive numbers of yielded converts but a shortage of disciples has slowed the momentum of growth. Animistic religions may be decreasing on the surface, but their influence is still strong. Also breakdowns between church leaders and missionaries have not helped the work either.
1. We are praying for healing of past wounds and for a deeper appreciation and level of trust among God’s servants, both national and expatriate.
2. Dear Lord, we pray that our leaders will be emotionally and psychologically whole in Jesus name.
PRAYERS FOR NATIONS LEADERS(CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC)
