OVERTAKING THE DARK KNIGHTS – Daily Devotional

SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert and be healed.
Isaiah 6:10

There are spiritual beings called the Dark Knights, whose principal objective is to keep the believer in darkness. They gain access into the life of a believer by sin and their weapon of war is Darkness. Romans 13:12 instructs the believer to “put off the
darkness”. The Darkness referred here is the Greek word for Skotos, which means shady or dimness, and obscurity.

The overall operation of the Dark Knights is to make the believer operate in blindness- leaving you with no spiritual sight. The darkness is released layer by layer. First, they cast a film over the believer who gives them access, so the believer begins to see shadily /dimly in the spirit. Secondly, a layer of mist (mist of darkness) is used, then finally, the cloak of Darkness (opaque black); at this point, spiritual sight is lost totally. The cloak of darkness doesn’t just rest on the person like a cloth, it permeates the body and enters into the DNA and becomes hereditary. Hence, when you close your eyes, all you see is opaque black because of the inherited films of darkness in your soul; but thank God for salvation and deliverance!

The first thing being born again does, is that it gives you sight (Galatians 3:3). The healing, blessings and favor of God can only come when you see – this is what the devil doesn’t want, but that devil is a liar! It is time to get up, cast off the works of darkness, and refuse to let sin dominate you. Once you fall into sin, quickly repent and use the blood to cleanse yourself. This way, the Dark Knights will have no hold over you. Hallelujah!!!
