istory has it that the walls of Jericho were massive stone walls. These walls were at
least 13 feet (4 meters) in height and backed by a watchtower which was intended to
protect the settlement and its water supply from human intruders. But despite their
fortification, God had already told Joshua that Jericho, its king, and the strong men of valor
were in his hands. (Joshua 6:1,2)
Another example is seen in Acts 16:25-29. Paul and Silas being bound in prison prayed and praised God and Marvel
happened; the Holy Ghost stepped in and their bounds were loosed. Many times, we do not see the manifestation of God’s
promise in our lives, because we are bankrupt in praise. Praise is the activator of Marvel. The walls of Jericho would probably
still be standing today if the Israelites did not praise God. If Paul and Silas had a pity party that night, they would have been
prosecuted and probably killed the next day, truncating God’s will for their lives. Praise balances the equation; it brings God
into the scene.
The story of the collapse of the wall of Jericho and the supernatural release of Paul and Silas shares a similarity- High Praise.
Therefore, it is time to get up from your problems and give the Lord some High Praise. God has said it is your season of Marvel,
so, make praise your lifestyle and your praise bank will continuously overflow. Remember, a life of constant praise is a life of
marvel. Glory to God!
