December 16th
We see through the scriptures that the word of God places a lot of emphasis in praising God. God created us to bring Him pleasure. One of the ways we can bring God pleasure is in the place of praise. He deserves our unsolicited praise. The physical occurrences around you should not determine if and how you praise God.
Therefore, praising God should be a lifestyle. Praise triggers a certain response. As humans, we love to always be around people who constantly showers us with praise and encouragement. In Psalm 100:4 we are told to enter into His gates with
Thanksgiving and enter His courts with praise.
Thanksgiving will give you access through the gates of God, but praise will grant you access to His courts. Not everyone has access to a Kings court.
So, if you think you have nothing to praise God for, think about His goodness in your life today; think about the fact that you do not have to pay for oxygen. Meditate on God today and praise Him. Decide to bring God pleasure always. Amen.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, help me to fill up my praise bank in
Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR MALAWI
Background:12% are unreached with the Gospel. The Yawo tribe, mostly Muslim, remain the biggest missionary challenge in
Malawi and only a few have come to Christ. Various tribes in Malawi still practice traditional ethnic religion.
We are praying for a mighty revival in the nation that those practicing other religions will fill the emptiness
without Jesus.
Dear Lord, give the leaders insight into the needs of their communities and discernment to make decisions to lead
their states, communities and nation well.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray oh Lord; bind the church together in love in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the outpour of your Spirit upon this city, that we may overcome the
barriers and the resistance against the Gospel, that many may come to the true light of the Lord Jesus
Christ
