PRAYING FOR ANSWERS – Daily Devotional

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 1 Samuel 1:12

“And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth.”

August 3rd

Prayer is a great privilege that we have been given by God to invite Him to intervene in our lives and to cause a change. In prayers, you discover, create, recover, or enforce the will of God concerning you. How awesome that is! When you are provoked by any lack or situation and bitterness sets in, that bitterness can either lead to fear in your life which has damaging effects, or strengthen you to pray. So, what will be your response?

We serve a God that hears and answers prayer. (Psalms 65:2, Matthew 7:7). In the place of prayer, you can make demands and change things. You can enforce the plan of God in your life and in the life of others. Thus, instead of allowing bitterness and fear in your heart, choose to engage in prayers. Do not let your problems and challenges keep you away from God rather, they should drive you to God, for in Him alone can you find hope and answers.

Make a decision today to desist from complaining and murmuring, rather, cultivate a habit of praying and talking to God about everything! Begin with a full assurance today to call on God. God says for you to come boldly to the throne of grace to take what is yours. So, never stop praying. Pray until there is an answer. Glory to God!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Dear Father, thank you for the access to come before you, I receive grace to be consistent in prayers and not to give up in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6).

PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH

We pray that the Lord will visit the church with the spirit of unity and oneness like He did in the early church in Jesus name.

PRAYERS FOR NATIONS (kazakhstan)

54% are unreached with the Gospel. Harassment from authorities, from strident Muslims and from unbelieving family members makes life difficult, especially for converts. Unconstitutional laws on registering churches are complicated by obstructionism for those who try to register, and heavy fines for those who do not.

Y: We are praying for programmes that develop informed, well-trained, and godly leaders in the nation.

PRAYERS FOR NATIONS/LEADERS

Dear Father, we ask that you will sovereignly place the right people in power, those that will implement your plan and will on the earth.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL

Father in the name of Jesus, we thank you for the privilege to labour together with you and the angels in the Kingdom through our prayers, we pray for the massive harvest of souls into the kingdom.
