December 12th
There are times in our lives when something important happens that makes us so grateful. Maybe it is that phone call saying we got the job we so desperately wanted, or maybe its hearing good news about our loved ones or ourselves.
In those moments, we are excited, happy and so thankful! That wonderful feeling sticks with us for a while and then somehow, it fades away.
What meaningful situation or event can you recall from your life to reenact deep feelings of gratitude and excitement? We can see an example in our scriptural text today from the Psalmist. The blessings of God are forever, hence, our thanks to Him for what He has done should never cease.
As your thanksgiving is continuously before Him concerning that which He has done for you, so also will your blessing remain.
Glory to God!
Draw up a list of those things that you received from God since the year began. Pull it out from that file in your mind and begin to give thanks for it. Meditate on His goodness, reminisce upon those things and let the feeling of overwhelming gratitude lead you to give God thanks repeatedly throughout this month.
As you do this, your blessings will remain sanctified and preserved. Halleluyah!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, bring me into remembrance of those
things you have done for me this year in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR MALAWI
Background:12% are unreached with the Gospel. The Yawo tribe, mostly Muslim, remain the biggest missionary challenge in
Malawi and only a few have come to Christ. Various tribes in Malawi still practice traditional ethnic religion.
We are praying that every veil over the eyes of the people preventing them from receiving Christ be pulled away in Jesus
name.
Father, grant the leaders the ability to distinguish between righteous counsel and the deceitful counsels of the wicked.
Surround them with righteous men and women who will give them sound advice. May government halls and buildings
around the world be filled with wise counsel and understanding
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray that the eyes of Church leaders be opened to the plan of
God for the church in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the keys of the city, that we may be able to reach every home and
every person in this city and its environs.
