SEE BEYOND THE LETTERS – Daily Devotional

SCRIPTURAL TEXT:
“In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.” Daniel 9:2

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Word of God is life-giving and active; it is the light that lights up all men(John 1: 1-4). However, many believers today either ignore it or do not apply their heart to understand its effect. The word of God has creative ability and nothing was created without it. The question is whether we can see this light in the Word!

Looking at our scriptural text, it shows us how Daniel was able to see by revelation, the freedom of the Israelites, by reading the Word. He then went ahead to present it to God in prayer and fasting, thereby obtaining victory!
This applies greatly to every believer today; much has been written about our destiny and the victory that God has prepared for you in this world, and you can find it in the Word! Faith comes by the Word, bringing us into the awareness of our victory and what we ought to do to remain victorious (Rom 10: 17).

You may be going through some setbacks and challenges, but that doesn’t change what God has written concerning you! Refuse to dwell in self-pity, rather look to the scriptures and find what the Word has to say about your situation; then war with the light you have found in prayer! With your faith stirred up, your victory irresistible. these is why you need to see beyond the letters. Glory to God.

ACTION POINTS
TO ACTIVATE THE WORD IN YOU TODAY, CARRY OUT ALL THE ACTION POINTS (A – I) SEQUENTIALLY:
A. [SAY AMEN TO THIS] WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY: 1 Receive grace to fellowship with the word
regularly in Jesus name

2. As you step out today, may the word of God illuminate your life in Jesus name challenge of life
   in Jesus name.

B.PLAN TO DO THIS TODAY IN RESPONSE TO TODAY’S TEACHING:
Make a practice of studying the word daily. Do not go a day without meditating on the word.

C. SPEAK THESE WORDS OVER YOUR LIFE CONTINUOUSLY TODAY:
I decree and I declare that the fruits of the spirit are expressed in my life

D.STARTUP PRAYER:
Dear Father, help me to achieve all I have written to achieve this year in Jesus name

E. REDEDICATE YOURSELF TO JESUS TODAY
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the privilege of a new day. I am especially grateful for the sacrifice of your Son Jesus on the cross for my redemption, and the privilege to walk with You day by day. I rededicate my life to you today, and declare my submission to Your Word and Your Will. I hereby cast off the works of darkness, and I put on the armour of Light, as I consecrate my body, soul and spirit to you today. Let me life bring you glory now and always. Amen.

G. PRAY FOR A COUNTRY IN NEED TODAY: AUSTRIA
Austria has 15% of its population unreached with the Gospel. Young people are more open to the Gospel than the previous generation in Austria, but churches are poorly equipped for effective youth ministry.
PRAY FOR AUSTRIA We are praying for the Christians in Austria that they will be led by the Spirit to reach those who souls are ripe for salvation.

H.PRAY FOR JERUSALEM
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Psa. 122:6)
