Malachi 3:11
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, and or shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, Says the Lord of hosts;
The bible contains several strategies to shutting out devourers in our life. Devourers are greedy eaters. They come to steal all that God has given to you. In John 10:10 the bible tells us the mission of the devourer- to steal kill and destroy.
Our opening scripture is crystal clear about God’s system of immunity against devourers which is by participating with your tithe in God’s house. Your tithe is a 10th part of any income you receive. Many Christians are paying a heavy price due to their lack of understanding about what the scripture talks about. No wonder the bible says my people are destroyed because of lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
Have you been unfaithful in your tithe to God’s house? Repent right where you are now! Make up your mind to become a faithful tither. This way, you will shut the devourer, and live a life of constant victory. Glory to God!
Prayer for the day: Dear Father, help me to be an ardent doer of the word in Jesus name.
Jamaica
Jamaican Christianity needs reformation and renewal. It enjoys one of the world’s highest number of churches per square mile, but the majority of self-proclaimed Christians in Jamaica neither attend church nor lead a Christian life.
Y: We are praying for a move of God’s Spirit that the Churches in Jamaica will move from been nominal to a place of great encounters and the supernatural.
Prayer for leaders/nation: Dear Lord, give the leaders wisdom that they may be able to do things beyond their understanding. Help them to choose the right path when they make decisions on behalf of the nation.
Prayer for Israel: Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city, Amen (Ps 122:6).
Prayer for Unity in the Church: We pray, oh Lord give the leaders of the church a perfect heart, a heart that continually seeks you in Jesus name.
Prayer for Souls/Revival: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask for the outpour of your Spirit upon this city, that we may overcome the barriers and the resistance against the Gospel, that many may come to the true light of the Lord Jesus Christ.
