SCRIPTURAL TEXT: John 21: 1
“After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias;
and on this wise shewed he himself.”
October 6th
Jesus is alive. He rose from the dead by the glory of the Father, and lives forever
more. He can be seen, He can be heard and He can be touched. He walked on
earth and appeared to many after His resurrection (Luke 24). The disciples and
many others saw Him. He still walks on earth today, just like He did then and
appears to people. I have seen Him a number of times. You too can encounter Him
today.
This living Jesus is your saviour, your Lord; He is always around you and wants to help you on your journey. You
were not meant to travel through life on your own or to succeed without Him because you were never made to be
complete without Him. He is the head and you are a member of His body; there is nothing the body can do
without the head.
You can see Jesus and interact with Him; however you have to call on Him, desire Him strongly, and meet the
requirements necessary for such encounters. Let your burning desire to see Him and encounter Him drive you to
seek His knowledge, surrender your all to Him, and do everything necessary to have such encounters as you
desire.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, help me to encounter Jesus today in
Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR LEBANON
Background: Over 29% are unreached with the Gospel in Lebanon. Conversion to Christ, although legal, is nonetheless very costly. Despite
this, the number of those coming to Jesus is significantly increasing but the Shi’a Muslims are the fastest growing population and increasingly
influential.
We are praying for the Christians in Lebanon that they will be strengthened with might in their inner man to serve the Lord no
matter what.
Grant our legislator’s wisdom to advise the President in the best course of action he should take for the good of the nation, and not
for their own selfish interest
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be
established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR NATIONS/LEADERS
Dear Lord, give our leaders humility and respect for one another.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray that every attempt of hell to sabotage and discredit the
Church will not stand in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you would grant unto the unsaved souls in our city, divinely
orchestrated encounters and appearances with the person of angels and the Lord Jesus Christ, that will lead
to genuine conversions in the name of Jesus.
