BE INQUISITIVE – Daily Devotional

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Matthew 7:8 (NKJV)

Being inquisitive is having a strong desire to learn or know more about a subject. It is the quality of being curious, and thus asking questions to gain a better understanding of a topic or situation. It is a thirst for knowledge that usually makes one explore new ideas and experiences.

Inquisitive people are not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions. This quality often makes them excellent problem-solvers, because they are willing to consider multiple perspectives and are open to new ideas and experiences.

In our opening text today, we see the LORD Jesus encouraging us to ask, as that gives us the ability to receive; those who ask, receive! In other words, if you position yourself to know by asking questions, then you will receive enough clarity and understanding of a subject. This is a spiritual principle that is applicable in every area of life and business – those who ask, receive!

Therefore, inquisitiveness is a valuable quality to have, as it can lead to personal growth, the development of your mental capacity, and a better understanding of the world around you. By being inquisitive and learning to ask the right questions, you can expand your knowledge and understanding of the world, and succeed in various aspects of your life.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NAURU
Having received the Gospel in the early 1900s, Nauruans are still quite religious (91.5% Christian). But, for many, their faith is works-based, with little understanding of the Gospel.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the churches in this nation will wax stronger and stronger, converting many to salvation even in their neighbouringn nations, in the name of Jesus.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father, we pray that you will sovereignly place the right people in power; those that will implement your plan and will in the nation, in Jesus name.

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father, we ask that You will help us to be perfected in unity, so that the whole world may come to know you, in Jesus name.

☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you will bless our outreaches weekly, that they will be productive in reaching the people of this city and its environs for Christ, in Jesus Name.
