SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 1kings 19:7-8
And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the
journey is too great for you. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days
and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God

lijah was going on a Journey; he went forty days and forty nights
without food in preparation for his encounter with God. Moses
was to meet with God on the mountain, he was apart from the
people for forty days and forty nights and when he got down from the
mountain, scripture recorded that his face shone so much that it had to be
covered with a veil.
The key here is not the forty days but the fact that there was something outstanding done to engage
God. God will always show up when you persistently display your eagerness for him. The bible says
he created us for his pleasure, if that is correct, you would not run away from what gives you
pleasure.
Those who engage God never remain the same, Elijah was caught up to heaven with chariots.
Encountering God will bring out the supernatural in you. If others could engage Him, so can you
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, help me to seek you more in my journey
of life in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR LEBANON
Background: Over 29% are unreached with the Gospel in Lebanon. Conversion to Christ, although legal, is nonetheless very
costly. Despite this, the number of those coming to Jesus is significantly increasing but the Shi’a Muslims are the fastest growing
population and increasingly influential.
We are praying for the Christians in Lebanon that Christ will constantly be their aim and focus.
We pray that you would surround the President with sound and wise counsel to direct him as he leads the nation
towards peace and prosperity.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be
established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

Dear Lord, give our leaders humility and respect for one another.

We pray that the Lord will use Christian authorities to inspire
peace and unity in the body in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the lost in our city and its environs that the light of the glorious
Gospel of Christ will shine unto them, thereby destroying every veil that blinds their minds from the truth
