SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 1 Samuel 1: 17
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

In your journey to answered prayers, you need a prophecy.
We see from our opening scripture today that Hannah, after she had prayed got a sure word from God through Eli the Prophet. A prophecy is a word from the Lord. A prophecy can come from a prophet but can also come through dreams, visions, from study of the word, a teaching, or by the Holy Spirit.
God is only committed to what He has promised, this is why it is important to strive to get a sure word from God regarding what you are asking for. You need to keep praying and asking until you get a word from God. What has God said? It is based on this that you build your faith.
A prophecy is what tells you that God has answered. The direct result of prophecy is that you will now experience peace. It is with the prophecy you receive that you war with in prayer until there is a manifestation of your answers.
So, as you pray, study the word, or while fellowshipping with the Holy Ghost, watch out for prophecies because they will surely come with your answers. Glory to God!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Dear Father, as I go through today, give me a sure word of prophecy in Jesus name
PRAYER FOR KIRIBATI
Overpopulation and unemployment combined with increasing alcohol abuse create a difficult environment in which to grow up. Kiribati migrate for work on foreign ships but many return home with AIDS or drug problems.
Y: We are praying that the possible impending disaster in the nation would remind residents that their eternal home is in heaven and help their focus to remain on God.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in Jerusalem and that your purposes be established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6).
PRAYER FOR NATIONS/LEADERS
We pray for the President of this nation, give him divine wisdom to lead this country.
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray, help us to love one another as you have loved us in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for men and women out there in this city who do not know you; we cry out for their souls that they will be convinced of the reality of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, and they will be bold to accept and declare his Lordship.
