STEP OUT TO EXPERIENCE MARVELS – Daily Devotional

SCRIPTURAL TEXT: 2KINGS 3:17

For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled
with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

November 16th

In our scriptural text today, we see that the armies of Israel had no access to water as
they traveled into the desert. They were really thirsty due to the intense heat. The
kings of Israel and Judah sent for the Prophet Elisha, who instructed them to fill the
valley with ditches- a strange prophetic instruction.
God frequently uses odd locations and unlikely people to show off his Marvel. Some
believers follow human calculations too closely. They base their judgments too heavily on visible traits or prevailing
conditions. Digging trenches in the desert could have seemed like a silly idea to people, especially because there was no
indication of rain or a river nearby to fill it up, but God instructed it. Testimonies and breakthroughs do not just happen;
there is always a process to it. There is the ‘God factor and the ‘you factor in the equation, and the God factor is
constant. The ‘you’ factor is the variable and this determines the degree to which you will experience the move of God in
your life.
Stepping out and digging the trenches in response to God’s command sparked God’s intervention on their behalf (2
Kings 3:18-25). What has the Lord been nudging you to do? Have you done it? Therefore, now is the moment to start
digging ditches, step out in faith, email that proposal, turn in your resume, and launch that business. Just step out! And
God will act swiftly in your favour.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Dear Father, I receive grace to step out in faith today
in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR LUXEMBOURG

Background: The Lëtzebuergesch language is spoken by many as their heart language. Most are fluent in French or German (or both),
but to have the Bible in Lëtzebuergesch could be helpful to opening many hearts to the good news. Various versions of the New Testament
are in progress.
We are praying that the bible translation into various versions may be completed in a timely manner and with the highest
standards.
Dear Father, we ask that you will sovereignly place the right people in power, those that will implement your plan and will
on the earth.

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL

Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be
established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)

PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH

We pray oh Lord; bind the church together in love in Jesus name.

PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL

Father, we ask that you would add unto us men and women through all the channels of outreaches and
ministry propagation, so that we may grow in number daily in the name of Jesus.
