so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.

Philippians 1:10 (ESV)

Excellence is a quality that is often associated with greatness and distinction in every field. It is the mindset that pushes one beyond mediocrity and compels one to reach out for the extraordinary. More specifically, excellence is matching up to God’s standard in every area of life.

The level of excellence you possess can determine your position in life, and how far you can go. Our opening text today shows us that it is possible for you to approve what is excellent. In other words, it is in you to identify and choose to attain excellence.

To be successful, you must train your mind to be excellent. This begins with the diligent study of the Word. Each time you study the Word of God, you see His standards for life and godliness. Excellence begins when you accept these standards as true and worthy of pursuit. This will also reflect in the content of your prayers, as we see of Apostle Paul in our opening text, because it takes the help of God’s Spirit to attain to the excellent standards of God.

Therefore, to be outstanding in your life, family, career or business etc. you must strive to attain excellence in every area, remembering that you can be all God wants you to be as you make decisions that align with God’s Word. You were born to be excellent; embrace this truth and let it drive you towards becoming the best that God has ordained for you to be.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray for the Christians in this nation that they will be examples of righteousness and that their lifestyle will attract others to salvation, in Jesus Name.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father in the name of Jesus, we ask that you grant the leaders of this nation the wisdom to enact laws that will open up the nation to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in Jesus Name.

🕍PRAYER FOR ISRAEL – (Ps 122:6)
Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus name.

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray against unhealthy competition in the Church and we ask that you will help us to follow you completely in all holiness and righteousness.

☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ will shine in the hearts of every unsaved person all around us today in Jesus name.
