TAKE INITIATIVE – Daily Devotional

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah 6:8 (NKJV)

True leaders do not wait to see if anyone else is going to step up when there is a task to be done. They are first to raise their hands. They take initiative. We see this of Prophet Isaiah in our opening text today as he rose to the occasion when God called him.

Taking initiative means being proactive and taking action to identify and address opportunities, and challenges that arise within a team or organization. It involves being creative, resourceful, and decisive in determining the best course of action to achieve the team’s goals and objectives.

A person of initiative demonstrates the willingness to take calculated risks and embrace change, providing the people they lead with the support and resources needed to take on new challenges and explore new opportunities.

Thus, whether it is in a family, a team or an organization, you too can begin to demonstrate this leadership capability in you by learning to take responsibility and be accountable for what has been committed into your trust, proactively solving problems and owning the outcomes of your decisions.

Therefore, be proactive with your assignment today by looking out for ways to improve and being decisive to voice out your ideas, and implement them when the opportunity presents itself. This is a sure way to favour and promotion.

Father in the name of Jesus, give me the courage and strength to take initiative and be proactive in my line of work today, in Jesus Name.

🏞️ PRAYER FOR A NATION – NEPAL
The largest religion is Hinduism with 93% unreached with the Gospel. Freedom of religion is guaranteed by law, but only in limited measures. Non-Hindus cannot proselytize. If they do, they risk fines, imprisonment, and in the case of expatriates, expulsion.

1. Prayer for the nation: Father in the name of Jesus, we pray that you will cause the legislators in the nation to repeal every law that restricts the preaching of the Gospel, in the name of Jesus.
2. Prayer for the leaders: Father, we ask that you will cause the leaders of this nation to know your will, and to align their hearts with your purpose for the nation, in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus, show your mercy and favour in this set time to Israel. Let your mercy not depart from Israel, in Jesus Name

💒 PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
Dear Lord, we ask that the church will become more conscious and fully involved in the ministry of reconciliation and evangelism, in Jesus name.
☄️ PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Dear Father, we ask that you will pour out your Spirit upon our city today, and cause the heart of the backslidden to return to you, in the name of Jesus.
