SCRIPTURAL TEXT: ACTS 23:11
And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified
of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
October 9th
All through scriptures we see several instances of people who
encountered God and received direction for their lives. Jacob for
business, Moses for leadership, etc,. In our opening scripture today, we
see the case of Paul who had suffered so much persecution for the sake of the
gospel.
In his cold prison cell, he encountered the lord Jesus who assured him that he would still bear witness of
him in Rome as he had done in Jerusalem. Paul was not done and His encounter with Jesus showed him
what was to come. How comforting! Another example was Ananias who prayed for Saul (Paul) to receive
his sight, being instructed by Jesus in an encounter, to do so. Acts 9:10-11.
Are you in a state of dilemma, not knowing what steps to take next concerning your job, ministry, or
business? Are you on the verge of giving up on your kingdom assignment? Key into the words you have
heard today and learn from the experience of men who encountered Jesus. Remember that God promised
never to leave you without help. Your next move will manifest from an encounter this season, Say Amen!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord Jesus, order my steps today
PRAYER FOR LESOTHO
Background: Lesotho is a Christian nation with just about 8% unreached with the gospel but, most were never fully converted.
The social pressure against becoming born again is wielded by traditional religious forces. The churches in Lesotho maintain a low
impact on society.
We are praying that the Holy Spirit will sweep out impurities from the churches and bring new life.
Father, remove leaders and men of authority that you did not set up. Give the nation selfless leaders, men and women
of wisdom and understanding; leaders who will not cause the people to err.
PRAYER FOR ISRAEL
Father, I ask today that there will be peace in
Jerusalem and that your purposes be
established in that city. Amen (Ps 122:6)
PRAYER FOR UNITY IN THE CHURCH
We pray that the body of Christ will be a formidable force to
bringing about a mighty revival on the earth in Jesus name.
PRAYER FOR SOULS / REVIVAL
Father in the name of Jesus, we decree that the feet of ripe souls are led our way today so that they may be
established in your kingdom.
